Viet Nam begins to import Chilean cherries

HCM CITY— Viet Nam has imported Chilean cherries for the first time.

The Chilean Cherry Committee of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX), the country’s embassy in Viet Nam and ProChile, its commercial trade office, have been promoting the import and distribution of the fruit.

The cherries will be distributed through an extensive range of sales channels like supermarkets, convenience stores and local markets.

There will be promotions through the month starting on February 5.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s import and export department, the import of fruits were worth $816M in the first 8 months of 2020. VNS
