Xiaomi unveils latest phones

 HCM CITY – Xiaomi is set to bring its latest device, the Mi 11 Lite, to Việt Nam next month.

The Mi Lite 5G and Mi Lite both have 6.55-inch AMOLED screens with 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Both come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, a trio of cameras, including a 64MP primary camera, 8M ultra-wide angle camera and 5MP telemacro camera.

The 5G version is equipped with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G chip while the other has Snapdragon 732G.

The 5G phone costs VNĐ10.49 million ($454) while the Mi Lite costs VNĐ7.99 million ($346).

Mark Li, general manager of Xiaomi Việt Nam, told the launch ceremony in HCM City on Thursday: “Xiaomi put up an amazing performance across all segments in 2020, and is available in more than 100 markets. It is the third largest smartphone brand globally.

“Việt Nam is one of the key markets in the region.”

The company also unveiled its latest fitness tracker, Mi Smart Band 6, which costs VNĐ1.29 million ($56).

Also at the event, designer Trần Hùng introduced his new silk evening dress collection in pastel colours created in collaboration with Xiaomi. — VNS
