HCM CITY — Saigon Co.op opened a Co.opmart supermarket on Hùng Vương Street in Đồng Tháp Province’s Tháp Mười District on Thursday, its fourth in the province and 128th in the country.

Co.opmart Tháp Mười has a business area of over 2,700sq.m and cost VNĐ71 billion (US$3.05 million).

It stocks more than 30,000 essential items like fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes, and household goods and accessories.

The store will be a good place for locals to buy goods with clear origins, good quality and reasonable prices, especially during the year-end shopping season.

To mark its opening, the supermarket has launched promotions, including discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential items and a lucky draw programme for customers with bills of at least VNĐ300,000 that offers prizes such as an SH Mode 2020 scooter and an Iphone 12 128GB.

Like other Co.opmart stores nation-wide, Co.opmart Tháp Mười also offers promotions on essential products from December 31 to January 13, with a focus on discounts on three groups of products - fresh foods, cosmetics products and home decorations.

It offers discounts of up to 96 per cent on some products when customers buy a second item, high reward points and stamps for customers to exchange for a Dutch premium knife set.

In addition, it offers discounts of up to 15 per cent on Tết gift hampers, the highest discount rate in the market so far. — VNS
